Thames Hospice receives £25,000 funding from The Clare Foundation

Thames Hospice receives £25,000 funding as part of the ‘Making Memories Fund’ from The Clare Foundation.

The Clare Foundation’s Founder and Chairman Mike Clare and wife Julie Clare, recently donated £25,000 as part of the ‘Making Memories Fund’ to Thames Hospice. The fund will help support patients and families in Buckinghamshire that are under the care of the Hospice.

Thames Hospice in Bray Lake has been serving the Buckinghamshire community for more than 30 years. The hospice offers world-class palliative and end-of-life care and support, to people aged 16 years and families over across East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire.

‘Mike Clare Foundation Making Memories Fund’

Mike Clare, CEO of The Clare Foundation discusses the ‘Mike Clare Foundation Making Memories Fund’ which aims to enable Buckinghamshire patients and families in care, to create moments of joy and celebration in the toughest times.

“Thames Hospice has been in mine and Julie’s hearts for some time now and it has been a privilege to meet some of the families that have benefitted from their care and support.The pandemic has made us all aware of how important time with family is when we never know how long we have.I firmly believe in quality of life and I am just so delighted, to allow that to continue at the hospice.”

Mike and Julie have previously supported Thames Hospice special events, and most recently paid an in-person visit to the hospice at Bray Lake.
