Offering free advice and support to charities and not-for-profit organisations in Buckinghamshire
The Clare Foundation is a charity working collaboratively with other voluntary sector organisations to assist them to become more efficient and effective in all areas of their work. Through our various programmes and services, we strive to help all charitable organisations within Buckinghamshire.
The Clare Foundation promotes best practice, the use of established business methods, expertise and good governance to help charities meet their own expectations. The Foundation works closely with each charity to help them define the work or strategy that needs to be developed. Our position and purpose is to provide the best possible bespoke support for the individual, Board, Senior Management Team and/or charity to accomplish their objectives no matter how long it takes.
We also support charities through seminars, workshops, networking and Charity Leader Forums that provide guidance and support.
Charity Help Advisory Team (CHAT)
It has been a long-standing and ongoing objective for us to support charities with quality advice, through experience, expertise and skills not readily available to them. We are pleased to be able to offer a specialist team of advisors who are here to help and provide support across a number of areas including, funding, mentoring, marketing, leadership and much more.
Bid Writing Support Programme
This pilot programme aims to provide a robust and comprehensive service to assist Buckinghamshire impacting not-for-profit organisations to secure grants in response to the challenging circumstances we find ourselves in.
Charity Excellence Programme
A structured programme of guidance and support
The Charity Excellence Programme aims to support Buckinghamshire impacting not-for-profit organisations by providing tailored guidance and support to help them overcome some of the greatest challenges they are currently facing.
Ian McLintock of Charity Excellence Framework sponsored by The Clare Foundation will provide, in this pilot stage, up to 10 organisations with expert guidance: Governance and Management, Fundraising Strategy and Managing Resources.
Trustee, governance and strategic development support
Martin Gallagher, The Clare Foundation, CEO will work with you on your charity / not-for-profit strategy helping to shape your mission and key focus to enable your organisation to work as effectively as possible.
He can also guide you on your trustee strategy and where possible, help you to recruit new trustees that can help drive your mission forward.
Development programmes for charity staff and volunteers
We host a series of events aimed at charity leaders, and a separate programme of training and development workshops aimed at middle managers and aspiring leaders.

Social Investment Loans
The Clare Foundation can provide a charity / not-for-profit with an interest free loan of up to £50,000 payable over 3 years. This can be for project based or capital costs.
