Mike Clare, our Founder and President, was delighted to open the Clare Community Shed at The Oasis Partnership. The Clare Foundation has provided funding for the shed together with the Aylesbury Community Board.
The Clare Community Shed offers a friendly and welcoming workshop space where residents can get hands-on with everything from upcycling and personal DIY projects, to local community initiatives. It’s a place to create, collaborate, and make new friends! The shed is based in Aylesbury and is fully equipped with machinery and tools to support woodworking, DIY, and much more.

“I am delighted about the opening of The Clare Community Shed at The Oasis Partnership in Aylesbury. It is a fantastic objective for the Aylesbury community. This initiative will provide a welcoming space for men and women to connect, share skills, and support one another, fostering both well-being and friendship. It’s inspiring to see organisations creating opportunities that promote inclusivity and purpose. I would like to wish everyone involved great success! And those who visit a lovely time together.”

Martin Gallagher, Chief Executive Officer at The Clare Foundation:
“I am incredibly proud of the collaborative efforts that have brought Men in Sheds to life at The Oasis Partnership in Aylesbury. This initiative is a testament to the power of partnership, with the Oasis CEO and Project Manager working alongside the Community Board Manager, the Councillors, and The Clare Foundation Team. Together we have turned this vision into reality. Our ability to both support and act as the catalyst for such meaningful projects demonstrates the strength of collaboration in creating lasting community impact. This is just the beginning, and I look forward to seeing the positive difference this space will make in people’s lives.”
