The Clare Foundation is very pleased to welcome Marcela Heime to our Board of Trustees.

Marcela is a health inequalities consultant, focusing on designing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to reduce disparities in health outcomes. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Global Public Health Leadership.

As Chief Executive of The Healthy Living Centre, Marcela made a significant impact addressing health disparities in disadvantaged areas of Buckinghamshire. The Centre played a vital role in improving the health and wellbeing of Bucks’ most disadvantaged communities. Marcela’s leadership emphasized the importance of community-driven initiatives that co-designed, co-produced, and involved community participation. These processes empowered communities and ensured their voices reached policymakers and other stakeholders, ultimately making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

With over 15 years of experience working with vulnerable communities, Marcela excels in building and managing high-performing and inclusive teams to deliver outstanding results. Her expertise extends to delivering social change within the volunteer sector and the wider community.

Mike Clare, Founder & President:

Marcela is one of our Community Advocates working with us on our Family Angels programme. She has worked with our CHAT Team (Robin & Martin) while CEO at The Healthy Living Centre in Walton Court. We are delighted to have her on board with us.”

Robin Walker, Chair:

“We are very happy to have someone with Marcela’s knowledge and experience especially given her expertise working in areas of special need and social inclusion. The Trustees and I have known her for some time and we are delighted to have her come and work with us and make a difference in Buckinghamshire.”

On being appointed Marcela said:

“I am honoured and humbled to have been invited to join The Clare Foundation as a member of the Board of Trustees. This remarkable organisation not only supports vital charities in Buckinghamshire, but also provides targeted financial support through their Family Angels program to families facing real hardships. I am truly excited to be part of such impactful work.”
