Buckinghamshire Council are interested in hearing how active lives can be supported for all residents. But in particular, would like people aged 65+ and people with pre-existing health conditions to take part in a new Active Lives Survey.
What is the Active Lives Survey about?
The pandemic has shown the importance of people living, healthy, active lives, as people with low level of physical health have been more at risk of serious illness. Buckinghamshire Council want to gather some fresh information on how Buckinghamshire residents can be supported to live healthy, active lives. We know that going to the gym or team sports are not for everyone. The responses will help the public health team at the Council better understand how physical activity can be made part of everyday life.
How to take part in the Active Lives Survey:

A message from Martin Gallagher, CEO of The Clare Foundation
“It is vitally important that we analyse data in a way that provides a clear understanding of how we take things forward. We know that physical exercise helps not only with the maintenance of weight, general health and well-being but also mental health. The pandemic has certainly highlighted the areas of most need. We know for a fact that low physical activity has increased the risk to many during the covid crisis and It has affected many people adversely who do not take regular exercise.
Please, if you have the time – complete the survey! It is completely anonymous and will help us provide some level of data intelligence to improve the lives of many across Buckinghamshire.”
