The Clare Foundation was delighted to celebrate it’s15th anniversary with a Bucks Charity Hoedown at Mike and Julie Clare’s home in Beaconsfield.

The event was organised with The Furniture Makers’ Company – the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry. Their membership comprises of individuals and businesses that make up the diverse, vibrant and creative UK furnishing industry.

Their role is to sustain a thriving British furnishing industry with a talented workforce delivering high-quality products, which supports those in need from within its ranks and those who have served it in the past. We achieve this through three pillars of activity – Education, Excellence and Welfare.

It wasn’t the warmest of evenings, for the middle of June, but everyone enjoyed food provided by Fabulous BBQ and entertainment by Grinch Mountain and The MacManus Trio.

Mike Clare, Founder & President:

“15 years is a long time to do anything but I am delighted that we are celebrating a milestone in the charity sector in Buckinghamshire. Julie and I were delighted to host charities from all across Buckinghamshire, and former business friends from the Furniture Makers’ Company. The theme of our evening was a Western Hoedown and oh what fun we had – lots of food, dancing and great music; so to all our friends from across the County and further afield; thanks for making the time to be with us and celebrate.”

Robin Walker, Chair:

“I first came into contact with The Clare Foundation as they celebrated their 10th Anniversary, and I and the Trustees are delighted to be part of the 15th Anniversary celebrations. Our agility and ability to pivot to meet the needs of the sector are well known to many, and our success is born of our dedication to improving how we do things and how we help others. Our strength is that we are able to make a plan quickly and do what we can to help. So, on this wonderful occasion, I’m delighted that so many could join us and recognise and celebrate with us. Thanks for being there.”
