Time Management Session with Clare Evans

On 20th January The Clare Foundation team hosted our first event of 2022. We invited Time Management and Productivity Coach, Clare Evans, to give a presentation on how to better manage our time and be more productive. Clare provided a practical, solution based approach, from the detail of email and to-do list overwhelm to high-level business, personal and life goals. She shared how to prioritise the important over the urgent, reduce stress, manage overwhelm and create a calmer, more productive business and personal life.

The key areas of focus were:

  • Plan your time
  • Prioritise your tasks
  • Organise your time/work
  • Create better boundaries

At the end of the session participants were equipped with tips and tools to make quick and easy changes to time habits by taking small steps.

This is what one of the participants said: ‘Training is always valuable but sometimes the foundations are forgotten, as is, what we learn in our early years, therefore a session like this serves as a reminder to those of us who do not always ‘practice what we preach’ and the end of the day comes before we are ready for it, so we wonder why we didn’t get this and that done!

Our outlook diaries can be our greatest allies and personal assistants, but do not always reflect the ‘planning’ and a meeting arrives before we realise how close it is and we wish we had ‘planned’ our time better before, to ensure we include ‘all’ the things we wanted to say/cover whilst we have the opportunity.  I think we are all guilty of this at times and yet the benefits outweigh the time investment, so good to have a reminder and already establishing more time for it to make my life (and that of my team) easier.

The slides are great and I may well use a few at my weekly team meetings to support what I am saying about being organised and planning as my team are doing more face to face meets now than they have done previously.’
