Leadership and collaboration in a post pandemic climate changing world

In April, we hosted a successful face to face conference for charity leaders on the theme of ‘leadership and collaboration in a post pandemic climate changing world’. This was followed by a drinks reception. The event was sponsored by Tilney Smith & Williamson (now Evelyn Partners) and our venue was The Gateway Conference Centre in Aylesbury.

Craig Goldblatt inspired the room with his ‘Magnify your Impact’ presentation. We then had speakers from Tilney Smith & Williamson and Buckinghamshire Council exploring responsible investment and looking at issues in Buckinghamshire. Caron Bradshaw, CEO of Charity Finance Group, spoke to us about the state of the sector.

After a break for refreshments, we had presentations from Nathan Gamester, Managing Director of Centre for Social Justice and Sherry Peck, CEO of Safer London. We were very fortunate to have Theresa May, the Right Honourable MP for Maidenhead, as our closing speaker.

After many inspiring and informative presentations, our guests and speakers had the chance to network with sector colleagues and enjoy a drinks and canapes reception.

‘Julie and I were delighted with the fantastic range of speakers, guests and especially that the Former Prime Minister, Theresa May, was our excellent closing speaker on a pretty exciting day. It was good for us all to be able to meet in person again and to be hosted by the Buckinghamshire Council at the brilliant Gateway Conference Centre made this a successful day.’

Martin Gallagher, CEO, The Clare Foundation
‘I am grateful to the TCF Team (Evelyn, Helen and Mary) for all their hard work in making this happen, sector colleagues who agreed to be the guest speakers and Theresa May, The Right Honourable MP for Maidenhead, who took time from her very busy schedule to bring our day to a close, Tilney Smith & Williamson for sponsoring our Little Soirée and Sarah Ashmead and her team at the Council for providing the Gateway Conference Centre on our first outing. To all those who attended thanks for making it a great day.’
