Better Housing Better Health (BHBH), a not-for-profit service run by the National Energy Foundation charity. Join The Clare Foundation’s webinar on 20th April to learn more about their service, and how it could help your staff, volunteers and beneficiaries
What is Better Housing Better Health?
They provide support to residents living in, or at risk of living in, fuel poverty, to access practical and financial advice and support. Not surprisingly, as the cost of living crisis continues, they are talking to more and more families who have in the past been able to meet their energy bills, but are now struggling. Because of this they have expanded their service to include any residents who would like some help or advice with their home energy costs and improvements.
They have been delivering this service across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire for over 10 years – it’s a service that’s free of charge and open to residents experiencing issues with their home energy.
As part of their service, they have a helpline that’s free to call where their team can give valuable tips on how to stay warm at home, sign up those in need of additional support to the Priority Services Register, refer for free home energy visits and access grants for energy efficiency measures.
