The Clare Foundation grant awarded to the Women’s Cultural Arena provides children and adults with creative kits
The Clare Foundation was pleased to be able to support the Women’s Cultural Arena with a grant to cover the cost of the craft activities at their Christmas meal celebration. The event was held at The Oakridge Baptist Church in High Wycombe, on the 11 December 2021.
With a grant from The Clare Foundation and funding from Bucks County Council, along with the enthusiastic support from 12 volunteers, the event was a true success.

In total 12 volunteers contributed to making the event successful. Staff at the Women’s Cultural Arena reached out to 36 children, 3 babies and 86 adults with 125 meals distributed on the day. Children also received special warm kits and creative packs and adults enjoyed the warm clothes, hygiene packs and creative kits.
All the guests also received a hygiene pack consisting of 15 items, ranging from bathroom items to shampoo, toothpaste, soap, towels, body lotion, hand sanitiser and face masks.
In addition everybody received a winter warm kit which included gloves, hats and scarves.
“It was a great event which we enjoyed organising and hosting, knowing that we pleased so many guests, friends and visitors of all faiths ,culture and backgrounds” says Shanthi.
“The Clare Foundation was pleased to support the Women’s Cultural Arena with a Christmas grant. Their community event on 11 December was a welcome opportunity for local residents to come together over a healthy and nutritious meal and enjoy a Christmas craft activity. After another difficult, Covid hit year, the attendees were also very appreciative of the winter warmth and hygiene packs.” says Helen Mee, Head of Charity Operations at The Clare Foundation.
