The Clare Foundation with the support of Heart Of Bucks & Community Impact Bucks, organised and hosted a joint strategic workshop on the development of the new SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disability) Strategy.

The event was facilitated by Martin Gallagher, CEO at The Clare Foundation and the attendees included Heads of Department from Buckinghamshire Council, leading experts, delivery agents and charity leaders from across the county.

“It was terrific to coalesce such an important and influential group of Charity Leaders and experts around something so important and a privilege for The Clare Foundation to host and facilitate” says Martin.

Lucy Pike, Head of Improvement and Transformation, Children’s Services – Education, is also really pleased with the outcome of the event.

It was a great event and really encouraging to see the range of voluntary and community sector organisations who are keen to get involved in shaping the Bucks offer to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Ian Sansbury, CEO at The Pace Centre, shows his appreciation for the work The Clare Foundation are doing for the Bucks community.

“The Clare Foundation have, once again, played an important role in drawing together members of the voluntary sector to engage with Buckinghamshire Council in the development of the new SEND Strategy for the county. This key role that The Clare Foundation plays in convening the charity sector helps to ensure that it can engage effectively with colleagues in statutory services and the corporate sector. We are really grateful to Martin and his team for their timely contribution to this important work”.
