About our speaker

Jane Curtis, CEO & Founder, The Charity Event Specialists

I am a charity fundraiser and event specialist with 20 years project, people and change management experience. I’ve created and managed successful fundraising strategies and programmes at a variety of national and international charities across events and community income streams and lead teams in raising tens of millions of pounds through events.

In 2018, I decided to create my business JC Consultancy (now called The Charity Events Specialists) in order to help charity event fundraisers future-proof their events activity and raise more funds. Typical services include focused strategic product development and programme reviews through to wider training workshops & speaking engagements.

In June 2020 I launched my first membership; The Charity Event Specialists Collective a low cost solution enabling more Event Fundraisers to access the tips, tricks and skills I have learnt from 20 years successful event fundraising. I offer support, guidance, training and a community of like minded event fundraisers. Through connection, mentoring and event specific training I help Event Fundraisers to grow and become more resilient and confident; in turn making them better fundraisers and ensuring their programmes are fit for purpose now and in the future. In 2021 The Clare Foundation launched their Events Specialists Support Programme and offered six bursaries to the Collective.

As an individual member of the Institute of Fundraising, I’m committed to best practice, the IoF’s Code of Conduct and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
