Expansion of The Clare Foundation’s Community Takeaway, Hot Food Delivery Service
Following the success of our High Wycombe service, The Clare Foundation team have been working with partners to roll out the service more widely. We now offer hot meal deliveries to vulnerable families in the Wendover and Aylesbury Community Board areas. This pilot project is running throughout April 2021.
On Wednesday evenings we offer a British pub menu from The Chandos Arms in Weston Turville and on Thursdays, family run business Divine Meals, offers an Afro-Caribbean menu. Our team of committed volunteers deliver the meals to our clients’ doors.

Our catering partners have helped us to support a growing number of clients, who have so appreciated the scheme and welcome their weekly delivery of a tasty and nutritious meal for all the family. Overall it has been a great example of partnership working – I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making the project a huge success.”
We currently take referrals from the Aylesbury Vineyard Storehouse, Chiltern Food Bank, the House of Mercy Church and Buckinghamshire Council’s Helping Hands team.
We are really grateful for the support from the Aylesbury and Wendover Community Boards and My Order Box who generously provided us with the online ordering system, App and software.
The Community Take Away hot meal delivery service is just one of our projects focused on supporting Buckinghamshire residents who are experiencing financial insecurity.
The economic impact of Covid-19 is having a profound effect on a growing number of people in Bucks, and we continue to work closely with our VCSE colleagues and Bucks Council to ensure appropriate support is in place to help people at this difficult time.
