For Small Charity Week 2023 The Clare Foundation is delighted to present a webinar on charity film-making. This is the first of two sessions, with a second workshop being a more practical guide to creating film content.

Introduction to the planning and launch of your film for charities, hosted by Laura Balerdi from HelpFilm, is aimed at communications and digital specialists working or volunteering for a charity.

What to expect

This workshop will explore the key ingredients needed when planning a short film. Using case study examples of films that HelpFilm have been a part of; we will examine the successes and the ‘what not to do’s’ when planning, producing and launching a film digitally.

The workshop is designed for those new to film campaigns or those who are just starting out. It will help those wishing to get started on the planning of their film and don’t know how to begin. It will also help answer questions you may have about how best to improve engagement online before, during and after the film launch so that the film’s impact continues for months and years to come.

Places are free but need to be booked in advance via our Eventbrite page here. We advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

HELPFILM CREATES VIDEOS TO SUPPORT AND PROMOTE CHARITIES

HelpFilm was founded by Alan Walsh – a former television director and current video professional based in London. Through his contacts in the industry he has met a variety of wonderful filmmakers who are happy to give their time for a good cause. HelpFilm uses only working professional filmmakers or video producers to create high-end videos and animations and to provide productions and editing services to small and medium sized charities across a broad range of valuable causes.

“We use creative and compelling storytelling – as a well told story will move an audience to think, reflect and then act – to enable those charities to further their purposes and achieve their goals.”
